The President of the Republic received the Board of Directors of the Cooperative Fund for *Mukhtars* in Lebanon, led by *Mukhtar* Ibrahim Hanna and accompanied by the Fund’s Director-General, Dr. Jalal Kibrit.
The delegation conveyed the gratitude of Lebanon’s *mukhtars* for the support provided by President Aoun—specifically his issuance of the long-awaited decree regarding end-of-service indemnities for *mukhtars*.
They also outlined the *mukhtars'* key demands, notably the approval of a draft law to cover the gap in Social Security payments for hospitalization and medical treatment, as well as the expansion of the Fund’s
powers and the unification of the official bodies overseeing the work of *mukhtars*.
Finally, the delegation invited President Aoun to patronize and attend the ceremony scheduled for next year to mark "Mukhtar Day."
